We are seeking a passionate and experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our Dietary Department and elevate the dining experience for our residents. In this leadership role, you'll collaborate closely with our Dietitian and Administrator to drive both clinical excellence and operational success , ensuring every resident receives high-quality, personalized nutritional care in a safe and welcoming environment. Your Impact & Responsibilities Department Leadership Oversee daily operations of the Dietary Department Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Clinical Collaboration Partner with Nursing to manage diet changes and care plans Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care Regulatory Readiness Maintain "survey-ready" standards at all times Lead infection control, sanitation, and inspection readiness Resident Experience Engage with residents and families to understand preferences Help create a personalized, enjoyable dining experience Team Development Assist with hiring, training, and performance management Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture Financial Stewardship Manage food and supply inventory Support budgeting and cost-control initiatives
Qualifications Certification:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
Sanitation:
Valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification Experience:
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (SNF, hospital, or similar)
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of
IDPH/CMS
regulations for long-term care Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to move throughout the facility during the workday Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 25 lbs Ability to assist during emergency situations, including resident evacuation Moderate noise level typical of a kitchen/healthcare setting If you're a motivated leader ready to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives through nutrition and service excellence, we'd love to have you on our team.
