Job Description

JOB DUTIES
Schedules non-surgical procedures, specialty visits and diagnostics within CRMC per provider orders. Obtains insurance authorizations for CRMC Specialty Clinics and diagnostic department services. Maintains current knowledge of CRMC patient business and financial policies. Maintains current knowledge on contractual requirements by insurance payors. Informs and facilitates patients of financial obligations for services Communicate with patients and peers to respond to any queries or issues Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy The Patient Scheduler assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others Understanding of billing, patient care, and excellent customer service Ability to type 45-60 WPM
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
H.S.
