Clinic Referral Coordinator HaysMed

Salary Range:

$18.00 - $26.00 Position Summary Utilize high degree of accuracy to obtain and verify pre-registration, eligibility, benefits verification, insurance referral, notification, screening for, referral coordination, outpatient medical necessity determination, and pre-service communication and collection of any required patient liabilities. This position involves direct contact with clinical staff as well as providing support and assistance in obtaining medical, demographic, eligibility and major insurance information necessary to complete insurance referral processes. Provides advanced level clerical and administrative support and coordinates patient care activities for practice operations. Responsibilities Performs routine pre-registration on appropriate patients accurately and meets departmental productivity standards. Position involves scheduling referrals for HaysMed practices. Obtain insurance referrals for all appointments being scheduled. Accurately enter and maintain referral information into patient EMR. Ensure that all required demographic, referral, clinical, and other registration data is collected, verified, and communicated appropriately. Verify insurance information. Obtains insurance referrals from insurance companies when required. Addresses patient, hospital, and provider inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. Works together with other team members to achieve office and system customer service goals. Answers patient calls and schedules patient appointments for multiple sites. Transfers patients to appropriate office for any additional patient needs. Self-manages daily processing workload and prioritizes patient accounts to accurately complete work in a timely, efficient manner to prevent service delays and payment issues. Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma, knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel, Data Entry, and Excellent Communication (verbal and written) skills.

Preferred:
