Job Summary Advanced Dental Arts is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Patient Care & Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding insurance and billing inquiries, ensuring seamless coordination between clinical staff, insurance providers, and patients. Your expertise will help facilitate accurate documentation, insurance claims processing, and patient support, contributing to an efficient and compassionate healthcare environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your administrative skills while making a meaningful difference in patient care. Duties Manage patient intake processes, including verifying insurance coverage and collecting necessary documentation for dental services Prepare, review, and process insurance claims daily for both the doctors and hygienists Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information Assist patients with understanding their dental insurance benefits, coverage details, and billing procedures Conduct documentation reviews to verify accuracy of ADA coding and care plans before submission Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate accurate coding and billing processes, ensuring seamless patient care Utilize Eaglesoft dental software to generate reports, update patient records, and manage administrative tasks efficiently Support front desk operations by answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and providing excellent customer service Follow up on outstanding and aging dental insurance claims Perform scheduling duties including appointment setting and follow-up calls while ensuring proper documentation of all interactions Skills Knowledge of dental insurance processes and compliance, coding, and billing procedures Proficiency and experience with electronic health records management is essential Strong understanding of clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for reporting and administrative support tasks Prior clinic experience or dental office management background is preferred to navigate busy healthcare environments efficiently Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone system operation Ability to review complex medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a positive attitude Works well independently and as part of a team Can confidently discuss finances with patients Join our team as a Patient Care & Dental Insurance Coordinator to be at the forefront of delivering exceptional patient service while ensuring smooth administrative operations.
