Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseas clinical aspects of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations. Community and Public Relations - Assures the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive images. Oversees and manages all clinical documentation and processes to include, but not limited to; Functional Assessments Positive Behavior Support Plans Behavior Intervention Committee Approvals Transportation Agreement Contact Notes Any additional supporting clinical documentation Coordinate program wide support, as needed, that addresses the assessed needs, conditions, or symptoms affecting a participant's ability to fully participate in the participant's community. Provide training and technical assistance to clinical staff to ensure clinical effectiveness and efficiency in all appropriate settings. Ensure treatment plans and all supporting documentation meets state and local standards. Oversees Behavior Intervention Committee (BIC) and Human Rights Committee (HRC) meetings; ensuring all state requirements are met.
Requirements:
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primary activities are conducted within a well-lit, climate-controlled office. Ability to sit for extended periods of time/ possess normal range of body motion. Occasional trips to client/prospect locations, conferences or company meetings require outdoor travel and potential exposure to unpleasant weather.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The Clinical Director shall be a person who meets the personnel and training requirements established in all Supports for Community Living and Kentucky Administration regulations; and is a: Licensed professional clinical counselor; Licensed psychological practitioner; Licensed clinical social worker; or Positive Behavior Support Specialist
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge in supporting participants safely, adhering to their individualized person-centered care plans. Displays strong communication and interpersonal skills, encompassing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Utilizes discernment and critical thinking to resolve discrepancies and problems, exercising sound judgment and involving appropriate parties in decision-making. Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite products/programs, including the ability to compose routine correspondence and reports. Handles unique situations professionally. Exhibits strong planning, organizing, delegating and prioritizing abilities, with a focus on efficiency and multitasking.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS A
clear state police criminal record check is required for any state in which the person has resided in the past year. If any prior convictions for offenses outlined in KRS Chapter 17.165 (1)-(3) or a prior felony conviction, contract work will not be offered. Additionally, annual background checks may be required.
