The Patient Access Coordinator plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience by welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information, and supporting our clinical teams.
What You Will Do:
Greet patients and visitors in person and by phone. Schedule appointments for physicians and physician assistants. Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information Assist patients with insurance paperwork and general billing questions Maintain accurate patient records and schedules Communicate appointment information to clinical teams Provide professional and compassionate customer service in a fast-paced medical office environment. What We are
Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day Comfort using computers, phone systems, and electronic records Medical office experience preferred, but not required EMR or practice management experience a plus Ability to travel between BGO locations throughout Lexington, KY market.
