Essential Qualifications:
  • Monitor food quality and portion control to maintain high standards of nutrition and satisfaction among residents.
  • Oversee meal service to ensure residents receive timely and appropriate meals according to their individualized dietary plans.
  • This position requires flexible hours/days, night, weekends and holidays.
  • Assists in assigning specific jobs and spot checking to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures related to safety and health are followed, including but not limited to MSDS information, safe work practices, infection control and universal precautions.
  • Promote teamwork within the department and between departments to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
  • Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of written dining room service objectives and standards of practice with procedures for implementation.
  • Assists in assuring staff education is provided to dining room personnel in accordance with the staff education plan, plus provides the job training for dining room personnel.
  • Ensure that dining room service follows all local, federal and state regulations in relation to service, sanitation and personnel.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, in-service training and tailored training courses.
  • Inspects multiple pantries and equipment's to determine repair or maintenance needs and cleanliness.
  • Attends in-service training/meetings and ensure monthly education sessions through Relias are being completed on time as assigned.
  • Auditing pantries' service offerings, initiating improvements with dietary manager.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
