Job Description

Access Health Louisiana (AHL) seeks an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Tangipahoa Community Health Center. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, appropriate staffing, patient access, scheduling, patient flow, customer service, facility readiness, and adherence to established AHL policies and procedures. The position works closely with providers, clinical staff, behavioral health staff, front-desk personnel, and regional and organizational leadership to promote a positive patient experience and efficient delivery of care. The Operations Manager also provides operational coordination for AHL services delivered in partnership with Early Head Start and Head Start locations within the assigned service area, including staffing coordination, scheduling, care coordination, communication with participating locations, and support for outreach and enrollment activities. This position is primarily focused on execution and management of established operational standards at the health center and assigned community-partner locations.
Education :
Bachelor's Degree preferred in public health, nursing, business administration, operations, or related field. Master's degree, a plus. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of advanced degree.
Experience :
Prior healthcare or management experience, or medical certification/degree is a plus. Bilingual candidate is also a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records required. 2. Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills; exhibits calm, professional attitude in stressful situations and interactions. 3. High level of ethnics in maintaining patient confidentiality. 4. Handles a multitude of tasks simultaneously. 5. Deals with and/or solves stressful situations. 6. Maintains professional composure under stress, as in emergency situations. 7. Communicates with patients, physicians, and other staff in verbal and written form. 8. Good listening skills, alert, analytic ability, problem-solving ability with use of creative skills, good memory and concentration, good judgment, initiative and patience. 9. Provides safe and effective environment for patients and staff. 10. Must hold a valid Louisiana driver's license and have a vehicle to commute between site locations as needed to facilitate job function and responsibilities (compensation for mileage submitted between sites).
