Immediately Job Description The RP Coordinator will continue to lead, model, and support the implementation of restorative practices at Federal Street Elementary. The RP Coordinator will also begin to train other staff in the district and plan implementation at other GPS locations to begin in the 2026-27 school year. This role centers relationship-building, repair, and inclusive practice to foster a culture of belonging and shared accountability. Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning and School Principal(s)
Hours:
Up to 10 hours per week in July and August, and up to 20 hours per week September-June 2027 (based on budget tier)
Hourly Rate:
Negotiable, up to $27.50/hour based on experience
Position Type:
Grant-funded, Renewable Key Responsibilities Schoolwide Leadership Serve as the site-based lead for RP implementation aligned with the pilot's timeline and goals. Co-lead the Core RP Team with the principal and ensure cross-role representation (staff, caregivers, students). Model Tier I restorative strategies (e.g., community-building circles, affective statements). Introduce Tier II restorative strategies and provide implementation support, where necessary. Staff Support & Capacity-Building Facilitate or co-facilitate PD on RP foundations, circle practice, emotional regulation, and restorative responses. Provide coaching and co-planning to teachers, aides, and support staff to integrate RP into daily practice. Organize regular staff learning circles and debrief sessions focused on relational practices and repair. Student & Family Engagement Coordinate student Circle Keepers training where appropriate, including coaching and reflection. Partner with caregivers and families to host RP listening sessions and community education events. Foster inclusive, multilingual RP communications and welcome materials. Data, Documentation & Reflection Track and analyze circle participation, referral data, and survey results using the RP Data Analysis Protocol. Capture stories of impact and challenges from students, families, and staff. Co-author the Year-End Reflection Report and contribute to the RP Toolkit.
