Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, and efficiently managing the patient record.Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical record systems
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
