Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, and efficiently managing the patient record.
Duties:
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork
  • Collect and update patient information in electronic medical record systems
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
