Brave Path Recovery is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead and oversee our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Day Treatment services. In this pivotal leadership role, the Clinical Director will oversee clinical operations, supervise multidisciplinary staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and support the continued growth and development of our behavioral health programming. Our program is rooted in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and client-centered care for individuals navigating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for IOP and Day Treatment programming Supervise and support clinical staff including therapists, counselors, interns, and case managers Ensure adherence to best practices, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance in behavioral health and substance use treatment Oversee patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and progress monitoring Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable licensing standards Facilitate individual and group programming utilizing evidence-based approaches including CBT, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, and trauma-informed care Support crisis intervention, behavioral management, and care coordination for clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Lead quality assurance initiatives and support continuous program improvement efforts Coordinate intake procedures, case consultations, discharge planning, and collaboration with referral sources and community partners Assist in program development, staff training, policy implementation, and operational growth Foster a positive, collaborative, and recovery-oriented team culture Qualifications & Experience Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field required Independent clinical licensure in Massachusetts required (LICSW, LMHC, or equivalent) Minimum 3-5 years of experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or co-occurring disorders Prior leadership, supervisory, or program management experience preferred Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, group therapy, and recovery-oriented systems of care Experience with utilization review, insurance documentation, ICD-10 coding, and electronic health record systems preferred Familiarity with BSAS standards, outpatient behavioral health regulations, and compliance requirements preferred Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills Ability to foster staff development while maintaining a compassionate and accountable clinical environment What We Offer Competitive salary Opportunity to help shape and grow an expanding program Supportive and collaborative leadership culture Mission-driven work environment focused on meaningful recovery outcomes Paid time off and holidays Health and wellness benefits Professional development and growth opportunities To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and interest in joining the Brave Path Recovery team.
