Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (LADC II) Group Clinician & Case Manager to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients on their journey to recovery. You will lead individual and group therapy sessions, conduct thorough client assessments, and coordinate case management services to ensure holistic care. Responsibilities Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to promote positive change. Conduct comprehensive client assessments, including diagnostic evaluations aligned with DSM-5 criteria, to develop personalized treatment plans. Manage case coordination by developing treatment goals, monitoring progress, and adjusting interventions as needed in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support during urgent situations, ensuring safety and stabilization for clients experiencing mental health or substance use crises. Document all clinical activities thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR), adhering to HIPAA standards, medical documentation protocols, and clinical documentation standards. Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to improve treatment outcomes and support evidence-based practice initiatives. Collaborate with community agencies, healthcare providers, and family members to facilitate integrated care that addresses co-occurring disorders and social determinants of health. Qualifications Valid licensure as an LADC II or equivalent credential with demonstrated experience in addiction counseling, mental health counseling, or behavioral health settings. Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and child & family counseling. Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, PTSD care needs, and diverse cultural backgrounds. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) management systems including documentation standards for medical records and patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. Ability to perform client assessments in therapy settings, develop individualized care plans, and deliver both individual and group counseling effectively. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, case management coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge of behavior management strategies, crisis management techniques, and addiction medicine principles is highly desirable.
