Job Summary Responsible for managing front desk activities, coordinating patient appointments, and providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors.Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the healthcare facility.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services, appointment availability, and general office policies.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers and staff to optimize appointment availability.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate documentation and updating patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collect and process patient payments, co-pays, and insurance information as required.
- Inventory and supply management.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time per business needs of the clinic.
Qualifications Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a health related or management field preferred. 1+ years of experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting. Epic experience preferred.Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic health records, and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and general office procedures in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Schedule and Work Model:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, standard business hours (8am-4:30pm). On-site at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA. Remote Type Onsite Work Location 2014 Washington Street Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Employee Type Regular Work Shift Day (United States of America) Pay Range $19.37- $27.
