What You'll Do Manage the disability and pregnancy-related accommodation process for employees and applicants. Lead the interactive process, reviewing requests and determining appropriate reasonable accommodations. Review sensitive medical documentation and communicate with healthcare providers as needed. Collaborate with Human Resources, department managers, legal counsel, and other university partners to evaluate accommodation requests. Document all interactions, decisions, and outcomes accurately in the appropriate case management system. Draft and communicate accommodation determinations. Provide guidance and training to managers, leaders, and university partners on the accommodation process and disability-related topics. Support applicants who require accommodations during the hiring process. Partner with Leave Management on matters involving accommodations and leave, including leave exhaustion and return-to-work situations. Make appropriate referrals when matters involve areas such as discrimination or workers' compensation. Stay current on disability-related regulations, industry standards, and relevant case law. What We're Looking For 3+ years of progressive experience managing disability accommodations or related case management. Strong experience with the
ADA/ADAAA
accommodation process and interactive dialogue. Experience with leave management, including the intersection of accommodations and leave. Knowledge of FMLA and Massachusetts disability requirements, including Chapter 151B. Strong ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong critical-thinking, analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities. Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively work with employees, managers, HR, legal, and other stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and experience using case management or database systems. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Preferred Experience Extensive disability accommodation experience. Experience with accommodation programs in higher education. Experience with Canadian accommodations is a plus. Experience managing a high volume of cases simultaneously. Strong understanding of the interactive process and reasonable accommodation requirements. Pay up to $31.25 per hour DOE
