Job Description

Job Summary :
The Treatment Coordinator at Lane Oral Surgery is the liaison between the patients and the doctor. We at Lane Oral Surgery strive to provide excellent patient care in a supportive and successful work environment. The Treatment Coordinator has the primary responsibility of ensuring that all treatment planning, sequencing, scheduling and information related to appropriate patient is documented. The Treatment Coordinator should have a strong customer service AND business development mindset and ability. They should be able to use everyday language with a positive and friendly attitude to allow patients to understand their treatment. A thorough understanding of clinical procedures, available financial aid, insurances, case presentation, sales and patient tracking is essential for success in this role. Reviewing the schedule the day before for accuracy Reviewing and understanding patients' ledger and accounts. Understand the practice's in and out of network insurances both medical and dental Check all treatment plans for accuracy in procedure, insurance codes and rates Prepare consultation packet with patient's applicable insurance benefit information Prepare, present and educate patient's on their treatment plan options Work with doctors and clinical team to address clinically based concerns for patients Build trust and maintain patient confidentiality Understanding insurance verification and treatment plans Communicating patients out of pocket expense for surgical procedures with confidence. Schedule patient's surgeries Submit pre-estimates to insurances for patients Secure financial commitment from patients and collect funds as needed Fully understand all financing options offered and be able to educate patients when applicable Build relationships with the financing third party reps Call patients regarding their insurance pre-estimates for surgeries scheduled Follow up with patients who have not booked and review pre-estimates and/or treatment Provide knowledgeable estimates of fees when pre-estimates are not applicable with the help of the Director of Patient Finances Work in conjunction with the Director of Patient Finances to understand the offices billing practices, insurance requirements and financing resources to act as back up when necessary Seek out continuing education courses on sales and treatment coordination to elevate consultation process Organize tracking system/run report for monthly case conversion to present to management Set a monthly case conversion rate and production goal with management Liaise with referring offices to ensure optimal patient care by producing a letter and phone call Additional or different duties may be assigned occasionally at employer's discretion
Required Skills:

Pay:
$30.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
