This position is responsible for translating clinical strategy, organizational policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards into consistent day-to-day practices across clinical programs. The Director develops program leaders, strengthens supervision, monitors clinical operations and performance, and ensures expectations are effectively communicated, implemented, measured, and sustained. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, supervision, development, and performance management to Program Directors, Assistant Program Directors, and Program Coordinators. Establish and maintain consistent operational and supervisory standards across clinical programs. Translate clinical, payer, contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements into clear procedures, workflows, and expectations. Develop and maintain clinical SOPs, training materials, decision tools, and other operational resources. Monitor productivity, utilization, documentation, authorization usage, caseloads, staffing capacity, and waitlists. Identify performance and operational concerns early and develop appropriate improvement or corrective-action plans. Use audits and performance data to identify root causes, correct deficiencies, verify improvement, and reduce repeat findings. Ensure clinical expectations and operational changes are effectively communicated and understood by program leadership and staff. Evaluate workforce and leadership needs and recommend hiring, staffing allocation, training, and organizational changes. Support Program Directors and Clinical Supervisors in strengthening leadership, accountability, and employee performance. Partner closely with the Director of Integrated Care to implement clinical strategy and organizational priorities. Provide licensed clinical leadership and coverage within the scope of the Director's professional license. Support continuous quality improvement, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and sustainable program growth. These responsibilities reflect the original role's emphasis on leadership development, productivity, compliance, capacity, communication, and consistent execution across programs. Required Qualifications Current Massachusetts LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT license in good standing . Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or another discipline directly relevant to behavioral health. At least 5 years of relevant direct-service experience . At least 10 years of progressive supervisory and/or management experience ; qualifying periods may overlap. Demonstrated experience managing supervisors, managers, Program Directors, or other leaders responsible for clinical employees. Demonstrated experience with clinical operations, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, productivity, employee performance, and program implementation. Ability to translate payer, contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements into practical procedures and expectations. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and performance-management skills. Demonstrated ability to use operational and performance data to identify concerns and implement sustainable improvements. The experience and operational requirements above are drawn from the original role specifications. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within Massachusetts community behavioral health. Knowledge of MassHealth, MBHP, and CBHI requirements. Experience with programs such as IHBS and ABA and/or overseeing multiple behavioral health service lines. Experience developing and implementing SOPs and standardized clinical workflows. Experience conducting or responding to compliance and quality audits. Experience using dashboards, productivity metrics, or other performance-management tools. Experience leading significant operational or quality-improvement initiatives.

$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
