Clinical Director / Therapist

•-- Job Overview The Clinical Director / Therapist is a vital leadership and clinical role within our outpatient substance use disorder program. This position combines hands-on clinical work with administrative and supervisory responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health and behavioral care. The Clinical Director holds clinical authority for the program, serving as the primary clinical authority on licensing and accreditation documentation, including the Maryland BHA license application and the Joint Commission accreditation file. The role involves overseeing clinical operations, maintaining the integrity of clinical judgment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires full-time on-site presence during posted program hours and involves direct engagement with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

•-- Responsibilities Provide direct clinical services to clients, managing a caseload that includes individuals with substance use disorders. Lead and supervise the clinical team to ensure best practices in mental health and behavioral care. Offer clinical supervision to staff, supporting professional development and adherence to clinical standards. Serve as the clinical authority for the program's policies related to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and telehealth modules. Maintain responsibility for the integrity of clinical judgment within the program, ensuring ethical and effective treatment approaches. Oversee crisis intervention efforts, responding appropriately to urgent client needs. Communicate effectively with clients, providing support, education, and guidance tailored to their individual circumstances. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to licensing, accreditation, EMR/EHR documentation, and program policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culturally competent environment that respects diverse backgrounds. Participate actively in on-site activities during posted hours to provide leadership, oversight, and direct client care as needed.

•-- Qualifications Licensed mental health professional or equivalent with experience in addiction counseling preferred. Proven experience working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders. Strong leadership skills with prior experience in clinical team supervision. Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Skilled in crisis intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and team collaboration. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and record keeping. Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and high standards of care. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic outpatient setting.

Pay:

$85,879.70 - $103,425.02 per year
