Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Administrator, where your expertise will drive the smooth operation of our medical practice. In this vital role, you will oversee administrative functions, manage patient and staff interactions, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Your leadership and organizational skills will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining an efficient clinic environment. We are looking for a motivated professional with a passion for healthcare management and a commitment to excellence. Duties Manage daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize efficiency. Oversee medical records, electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and medical billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Supervise healthcare staff, including administrative support personnel, nurses, and other clinical team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Utilize EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix to update patient information, process documentation, and manage practice workflows. Handle financial management tasks including budgeting, billing, coding, and managing accounts receivable/payable to maintain fiscal health. Ensure adherence to healthcare practice management standards, CARF accreditation requirements, and health regulation policies. Support human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and managing staff schedules. Maintain excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally while ensuring confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Coordinate with healthcare providers on utilization management and acute care processes to support quality patient outcomes. Experience Proven medical office experience with a strong background in healthcare management and practice administration. Supervising experience in a clinical or dental setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding standards, and financial management within a healthcare environment. Experience managing teams as a healthcare practice manager or office supervisor is preferred. Strong understanding of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and CARF standards. Demonstrated ability to handle medical administrative support tasks efficiently using Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook. Acute care or dental clinic experience is advantageous for understanding specialized workflows. Excellent managerial communication skills combined with customer service expertise to foster positive patient experiences. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
