Role:
Barenburg Eye Associates s looking for a friendly and organized Eyecare Patient Service Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering an exceptional patient experience from the moment someone walks through our doors. Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm and professional front desk experience Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software Verify insurance eligibility for routine vision and medical benefits Collect co-pays, process payments, and manage patient billing inquiries Maintain and update accurate patient records and medical histories Coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and follow up on referrals
Requirements:
Prior experience in an eye care front office setting preferred Familiarity with vision and/or medical insurance verification and billing Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) or practice management software Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and record-keeping abilities High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare coursework a plus
