Job Description

Synergy Physical Therapy is a private outpatient physical therapy practice located in Fulton, MD, within the Maple Lawn community. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented team member to join our practice part-time , with the potential to transition to full-time in early 2027 based on practice needs and performance. What We're Looking For Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Professional, friendly, and patient-focused Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player Reliable and committed to providing excellent patient service Preferred Experience Experience is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate: Experience with WebPT EMR Experience with Tebra billing software Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy or healthcare office Familiarity with insurance verification, authorizations, and claims Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and insurance providers Verify patient insurance benefits through online portals and by phone Help patients understand their insurance coverage, benefits, and expected costs Obtain and follow up on insurance authorizations in a timely manner Manage and follow up on insurance claims with insurance companies and patients as needed Maintain accurate records of: Insurance verification Claims and submissions Authorizations and approvals Rejections and follow-up actions Patient and insurance communications Schedule patients and help manage the therapists' schedules Respond to patient questions and concerns promptly and professionally throughout their care Perform general front desk and receptionist responsibilities Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Compensation & Growth Opportunity Part-time or full-time position available Compensation is based on experience and proficiency with insurance and medical billing Opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities and grow into a management position We're looking for someone interested in building a long-term career with our team If you are organized, personable, dependable, and enjoy helping people, we'd love to hear from you!

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
