Job Description

Job Requirements The Medical Staff Coordinator is assigned the responsibility of coordinating various medical staff activities and serves as a vital liaison between the medical staff, nursing staff, administration, and the governing body. This role ensures effective communication and collaboration across departments to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. The coordinator operates within the parameters established by administration and officers of the medical staff, managing schedules, facilitating credentialing processes, organizing meetings, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Medical Staff Coordinator plays a key role in supporting staff development initiatives, and contributing to the continuous improvement of medical staff operations in a PRN capacity. Work Experience High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of administrative, clerical, healthcare, or office experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with physicians, advanced practice providers, leadership, and staff. Experience working in a healthcare, hospital, medical office, or regulated environment. Familiarity with credentialing, provider enrollment, scheduling, or compliance-related functions. Experience maintaining databases and electronic records. Basic understanding of medical terminology. Experience preparing meeting materials, agendas, and minutes.
