Our front desk is the heart of our practice. We see a high volume of patients each day, and we need someone who can confidently keep up with a fast-paced environment while providing professional, friendly, and efficient service. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, quick-thinking, comfortable multitasking, and understands that timely communication and accurate scheduling are essential to a successful medical practice. What You'll Be Responsible For Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally , assisting patients with questions, appointments, referrals, and other needs Schedule and manage a high volume of patient appointments accurately and efficiently Confirm, reschedule, and coordinate appointments while maintaining an organized and productive schedule Verify medical and vision insurance benefits and eligibility accurately and in a timely manner Obtain required insurance information and documentation prior to patient visits Greet patients warmly and check patients in and out efficiently Collect co-pays, deductibles, balances, and other patient payments Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information in the EMR/practice management system, Compulink Coordinate closely with technicians, doctors, and other staff to keep patient flow moving Monitor the schedule and proactively address delays, cancellations, and scheduling issues Handle multiple responsibilities at once while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a calm and positive attitude during busy periods Assist with general front-office and administrative responsibilities as needed We are a very busy eye care practice, and the ability to keep up with the pace of the front desk is essential.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in ophthalmology or optometry is required Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling required or highly preferred Excellent telephone and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment Strong computer and EMR/practice management system skills Professional, friendly, and confident communication style Dependable, punctual, and willing to be an active member of the team Ability to remain organized and professional when the office is busy Comfortable taking initiative and solving problems as they arise What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Consistent schedule Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity for professional growth within the practice
