Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchaser/Materials Manager to lead our procurement and materials management efforts within a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center environment. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, technical proficiency with ENVI and SIS EMR systems, and a passion for streamlining supply chain operations. Join our upbeat, energetic ambulatory surgical center team today. This candidate should have experience in the ASC space, particularly in orthopedic & general surgery. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials to meet production schedules. Oversee inventory management systems, ensuring accurate tracking, control, and replenishment of raw materials and finished goods. Collaborate with leadership teams to align procurement activities with surgical schedules and demand forecasts. Utilize
SIS/ENVI
for submitting orders/POs and ensuring accurate receiving of products. Anticipate what surgeons/anesthesia/center departments will need for upcoming cases and have all supplies, implants in-house ready for cases. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluating performance and managing supplier agreements to ensure quality and timely delivery. Conduct regular audits of inventory control processes and recommend improvements for inventory accuracy and cost savings. Support cross-functional communication among procurement, logistics, and quality teams to facilitate smooth operations. Maintain detailed documentation of procurement activities, supplier records, and compliance reports in accordance with company policies. Must have an upbeat team-oriented attitude. Must be self-driven, motivated, strong attention to detail, able to foresee future needs and act accordingly. Qualifications Proven experience in purchasing or materials management within an ambulatory surgical environment. Strong technical proficiency with ENVI and correlating EMR systems such as SIS Knowledge of logistics inventory management, supply chain management, demand planning, and ordering based on surgical scheduling. Demonstrated ability in supplier management, negotiation skills, and procurement strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with inventory control techniques Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate between departments effectively. Prior experience working in an ambulatory surgery center with exposure to purchasing responsibilities is highly preferred. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
