Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for patients via phone, email, and in-person interactions, delivering outstanding customer service. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using specialized patient management software and electronic health records (EHR). Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Assist with medical administrative support such as processing referrals, authorizations, and billing inquiries aligned with health regulation policies. Manage electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all documentation complies with healthcare standards. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient needs, test results, or follow-up requirements. Support office operations by maintaining organized files, handling phone communication professionally, and typing reports or correspondence swiftly. Skills Proven experience working in a medical office environment with familiarity in medical terminology and health insurance processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with experience using patient management software and EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of health regulation policies to ensure compliance in all administrative activities. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Skilled in electronic health records management, phone communication, client interaction, and accurate typing speed. Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
