Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Health Information Management (HIM) Support Serve as the third cross trained HIM team member to ensure adequate departmental coverage. Assist in maintaining routine HIM tasks to ensure departmental workflow remains current. Assist with document management, scanning, and record retrieval activities. Support compliance with health information privacy and confidentiality requirements. Provide coverage during staff absences, vacations, scheduled leave, and unexpected staffing gaps. Patient Services Support Provide operational support within the Patient Services Department Assist with incoming and outgoing calls, scheduling and rescheduling patients, and general service needs. Support workflow management to ensure efficient patient access and customer service. Complete departmental administrative tasks as assigned. Front Desk Operations Provide operational support within Front Reception Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Support patient check-in processes. Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information. Assist patients with completion of all documentation, appointment scheduling, and related administrative duties. Behavioral Health Reception Support Provide reception coverage for Behavioral Health services as needed. Welcome and assist patients accessing behavioral health services. Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules. Maintain confidentiality while supporting behavioral health operations. Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff as appropriate. General Operational Support Float between assigned departments based on organizational and staffing needs, as well as satellite offices as needed. Maintain proficiency in all designated cross-trained functions. Adapt to changing priorities and departmental assignments while maintaining quality service standards. Collaborate effectively with staff across departments to ensure continuity of operations. Participate in ongoing training and competency development to support organizational needs. Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to physically aide patients Must be able to lift 50 lbs Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as trauma, grief and death Overall vision is necessary; including reading, depth perception, close-up work and must have a peripheral field of vision. Hearing and speech on the phone as well as in person are necessary Must be able to communicate verbally in person, on the phone and in writing Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED Knowledge of medical terminology

Position Summary The Non-Clinical Support Coordinator is a versatile, cross-trained support position responsible for providing coverage and operational assistance across multiple non-clinical departments. This role is designed to improve departmental coverage, reduce service disruptions during staff absences, and enhance organizational flexibility by supporting essential administrative functions throughout the organization. The individual in this position will be trained in Health Information Management (HIM), Patient Services, Front Desk Operations, and Behavioral Health Reception. They will serve as a resource to ensure continuity of operations, maintain workflow efficiency, and support quality patient service across departments as staffing needs arise.
