Midwest Behavioral Health Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Residential Services to lead one of our specialty behavioral health programs serving children and adolescents. What You'll Do As a Director of Residential Services, you will: Provide operational and clinical leadership for a specialty behavioral health program. Supervise, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary staff through coaching, performance management, and professional development. Ensure safe, effective, and compliant 24-hour program operations. Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and employee retention initiatives. Maintain compliance with all licensing, accreditation, regulatory, and organizational standards. Monitor documentation quality, patient safety practices, and clinical performance metrics. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic initiatives that improve quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Assist in developing and implementing evidence-based clinical programming and curriculum. Manage departmental budgets, contracts, supplies, staffing, and operational resources. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support staff education, training, and leadership development. Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, therapists, case management, and other interdisciplinary teams. Participate in the leadership on-call rotation. Provide direct patient care when operationally necessary.

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Medicine, or a closely related behavioral health field. Active Michigan licensure as an LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LP with the ability to provide required clinical supervision. Minimum of 5 years of behavioral healthcare experience, including substance use treatment. Minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within behavioral healthcare. CPR/BLS certification and behavioral management/de-escalation certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with children and adolescents. Experience in Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF), Mental Health Behavioral Stabilization (MHBS), or other residential behavioral health settings. Knowledge of Michigan behavioral health licensing and accreditation requirements. Experience with quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and program development. Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and other behavioral health reimbursement models. Experience working with dual-diagnosis populations. Why Join Midwest Behavioral Health Center?
