Medical Staff Coordinator PrairieCare life insurance, paid time off, sick time, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) United States, Minnesota, Brooklyn Park Aug 05, 2026 What You'll Do In this role, the Medical Staff Coordinator interacts often with Leadership personnel and members of the Organized Medical Staff. The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all medical staff credentialing and privileging activities and ensuring that such activities be completed in an accurate and timely fashion. This person supports the MEC and its subcommittees and functions.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates medical staff privileging and credentialing Coordinates with insurance credentialing and payor relations team (for physicians and other independently licensed clinicians as directed) and may assist with the insurance contracting process, as directed Schedules and organizes meetings related to Medical Staff functions/committees and prepares agendas and minutes related thereto Attends Joint Commission audits to review meeting minutes, agendas, and other documents as it relates to regulatory entities Assists with the timely completion of the FPPE, OPPE and related processes Collaborates with the Leadership and Talent Acquisition to assist with physician recruitment activities, including scheduling visits and orientation activities for new physicians Manages the onboarding and orientation of medical students, residents, and fellows Works closely with the Leadership to support medical staff enterprises. Supports Executive Assistants as needed Hours for this role are primarily Monday - Friday, days, and onsite. What Makes You a
Great Fit Education:
Post-secondary education preferred.
Experience:
Three years of experience providing administrative support in a hospital medical staff setting required Experience with privileging and credentialing highly preferred
Skills:
Strong computer skills and comfort with most Microsoft Office products and applications (including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is required Must have and demonstrate ability to maintain confidential information Comfort with medical terminology is required Has clerical perception to proofread and edit typewritten copies, file records and use various office machines and equipment Requires strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills Ability to word process policy/procedure drafts, organizational diagrams, letters, develop visual aid graphics and prepare flow charts. Pay range for this position is $23 to $34 depending on education and experience. We are committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation.
