Job Description

Leadership Role. Provides patient care in the office setting. Meets the communication needs of patient and family. Maintains regulatory requirements, office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with providers and team members about clinic information. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with others. Work effectively as a team contributor. Manages all aspects of the clinic.
RECEPTIONIST DUTIES AS NEEDED
Answer phones Make Appointments Check in patients Check insurance Collect co-payments Record all payments in computer and logbook Maintain a neat and well-organized reception area Enter new patient information Scan patient demographics into EMR Update patient demographics Confirm all appointments for the following day Create new referrals as ordered by the provider Update referrals as needed Hand out school excuses as needed Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward appropriately
MANAGER FUCTIONS
End of the day patient count and email to appropriate personnel Print a daily sheet at the end of the day and balance all monies collected Maintain cleanliness of waiting room, clean chairs, straighten all magazines, and replace old magazines as needed Check temp logs regularly Order Private and VFC Vaccines Private Vaccine Inventory Makes timely Deposits Conducts weekly Huddles Completes Medical and Office Supply Ordering Works MU Reports Prior Authorizations for procedures and medication Links labs and x-ray reports Handles faxes when needed Conducts payroll and handles time off request Deals with Patient/Parent questions and/or complaints Reviews weekly survey results and addresses issues/calls parent to discuss. Supervises 1 to 1.5 employees Conducting performance reviews Conducts random audits on charts to ensure employees are documenting properly Other duties as assigned
M IN I M U M E DU C A T I O N
High School Diploma or Equivalent Associate or bachelor's degree a plus but not required
M IN I M U M EXPERIENCE
At least three years previous work experience in an office with at least one year in a medical setting. Will train the right person
M IN I M U M SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Must have an intermediate level knowledge software package including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Power Point). Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work assignments. Must be able to simultaneously multitask and manage multiple objectives and priorities. Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking and decision-making skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with providers, managers, staff, patients/parents, and business associates. Must possess a high concern for the accuracy of information given including attention to the status and details of projects and assignments. Must possess a high degree of integrity and have ability to maintain confidentiality regarding providers and CIMG's proprietary information.
