Clinical Director Position Summary Defining Wellness Centers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Services Director to oversee the delivery, coordination, and compliance of clinical services across all levels of care. The Clinical Services Director plays a vital leadership role in ensuring high-quality client care, supporting clinical staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive treatment outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who thrives in a fast-paced behavioral health environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and is committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care. Required QualificationsEducation Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field. Licensure Current and active Mississippi licensure as one of the following: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) License must be in good standing with the applicable licensing board. Experience Minimum of two years of experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment. Previous leadership, supervisory, or program management experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Coordinate client treatment planning, extensions of care, and discharge processes across departments. Meet with clients to assess needs and support effective case management services. Ensure timely completion and compliance of clinical documentation in the electronic medical record system. Develop, coordinate, and implement aftercare and discharge plans to support long-term recovery. Create and manage daily clinical programming schedules for clients and staff. Collaborate closely with admissions, medical, clinical, and case management teams to ensure continuity of care. Support clinical operations while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Assist with client admissions, intakes, and interventions aimed at preventing premature discharge. Educate clients, families, and referral partners regarding available treatment programs and services. Generate departmental reports and participate in meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives. Utilize electronic systems including Sunwave, Salesforce, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications. Support Joint Commission and Department of Mental Health (DMH) readiness and clinical compliance activities. Participate in Crisis Response Services training and response activities as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional integrity. Thorough understanding of behavioral health treatment services and clinical operations. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, HIPAA regulations, and Department of Mental Health requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record platforms. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, staff, and community partners.
