JOB SUMMARY
The Manager
- Clinical at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of a department/clinic, ensuring positive customer service and patient satisfaction, maintaining regulatory knowledge, and supervising the department/clinic staff.
The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to handle various challenges, including staffing, compliance, and budgetary issues. As a manager of people, this role is responsible for supervising a team and optimizing operations within a designated department or area, ensuring productivity and effective team management.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Management:
Coordinates and manages the daily operations of a clinical department/clinic. Coaches and assists team members. Assists in hiring applicants. Assists in evaluating staff. Develops and implements policy and procedure guidelines for the department/clinic. Manages payroll for clinic/department.
Customer Service:
Ensures that a positive working relationship exists with physicians, patients, families and other staff in order to promote positive customer service and patient satisfaction.
Performance Competency:
Maintains competency by attending required in-services, annual review, earns at least 8 contract hours per year.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Understands and practices standards of care, policies and procedures established by the deparment/clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, required. Required Licenses and Certifications RN
- Registered Nurse
- State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Mississippi,. Upon Hire. Required Work Experience 4-6 years. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse or Pre-Op ACLS with Certification required. Required 1-3 years. Minimum of 2 years management/supervisory experience. Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Must have planning and organizational skills Ability to work well within a team oriented structure Must have daily interaction with patients, families, clinical staff, physicians, and other support staff Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be courteous and professional Physical Demands A thorough completion of this section is needed for compliance with legal standards such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
