As a dynamic and growing outpatient therapy clinic, we specialize in orthopedics, hand therapy, neuro, vestibular, pelvic health, and more. We are proud to be patient-focused, locally owned, and rooted in integrity. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient interactions, ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems to facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries Verify insurance and collect co-pays or payments Manage and maintain accurate patient records (EMR knowledge helpful) Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services offered. Schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers to optimize patient flow. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, to ensure accurate billing and coding. Maintain organized medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Assist with medical billing processes, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and streamline office operations. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, and billing processes is essential. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar software is preferred.
