Job Description

Provides and oversees services provided to clients in accordance with the Montana Nurse Practice Act, agency policy, and accepted professional standards of practice. Supervises nursing staff involved in patient care. Works as part of the Medallion team to provide assessment, coordination, and care to the home health patient and family. Assesses and ensures adequate staffing on a regular basis to meet patient needs. May be involved in the initial and ongoing evaluation of the patient and family's needs; applies diagnostic and crisis intervention skills; coordinates resources available to meet patient/family needs; reports major needs of program to Assistant Vice President Clinical. Services and provides input and information into planning and evaluation of the home health agency to and with the Assistant Vice President Clinical Services. Assists with and is responsible for ongoing quality initiatives, chart audit coordination, patient care/staff coordination, and coordination of case record reviews. Assists the Assistant Vice President Clinical Services to ensure monthly staff trainings occur as well as assessing and assisting with ongoing staff educational needs. Reviews all processes, policies, and procedures, on a yearly basis, to assure they are current and within or exceeding guidelines. Verifies Medicare/insurance coverage of all clients referred to the agency. Ongoing assessment of the agency and Medicare standards to ensure the agency is in compliance with federal and state regulations. Facilitates training and orientation of new Team Members, and assists to facilitate advisory committee meetings.
