This rebrand represents a renewed commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate behavioral health and substance use treatment to individuals and families throughout Montana and across the country. As we build the next chapter of The Raleigh House of Flathead Valley, we're looking for a Clinical Director who wants to help shape a strong clinical culture, develop an exceptional outpatient team, and make a meaningful impact in the Flathead Valley community. As Clinical Director, you will provide strategic and day-to-day clinical leadership for an outpatient program serving adults with substance use, mental health, and mood disorder diagnosis. You will guide the clinical team, strengthen quality and compliance, support professional development, and ensure clients receive evidence-informed, ethical, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, direction, and clinical oversight for the outpatient clinical team. Ensure clinical services are delivered consistently, ethically, and in accordance with individualized treatment plans. Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support clinicians in assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, family services, care coordination, crisis response, and discharge planning. Maintain awareness of client needs, clinical risk, treatment progress, and barriers to successful outcomes. Provide clinical consultation and support for complex cases and emerging clinical concerns. Help ensure appropriate coordination and referrals for psychiatric, medical, emergency, and higher- or lower-level-of-care needs. Supervision & Team Development Provide regular individual and group clinical supervision consistent with licensure and organizational requirements. Support clinicians in case conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation, ethical decision-making, and professional growth. Identify training and development needs and create opportunities for continuing education. Support the development and onboarding of new clinical team members. Ensure pre-licensed or developing clinicians receive appropriate supervision and support toward independent practice. Build a high-performing clinical culture where staff feel supported, challenged, and accountable. Partner with leadership to recruit, retain, and develop exceptional clinical talent. Quality & Clinical Compliance Monitor the quality, timeliness, and completeness of clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge documentation, and other required records. Conduct or oversee clinical chart reviews and provide timely feedback and remediation when needed. Monitor compliance with applicable Montana regulations, organizational policies, professional standards, and payer requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation or regulatory activities. Support preparation for audits, licensing reviews, and other external or internal quality assessments. Maintain current knowledge of applicable behavioral health and substance use treatment standards, including ASAM criteria when applicable to services provided. Ensure clinical practices appropriately address client rights, confidentiality, informed consent, mandatory reporting, and other applicable requirements. Program Development & Collaboration Partner with executive and operational leadership to strengthen outpatient clinical programming. Evaluate clinical workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement practical solutions. Collaborate with admissions, care coordination, billing, utilization review, and other operational partners to promote continuity of care. Help develop and maintain effective clinical policies, procedures, workflows, and service standards. Represent The Raleigh House of Flathead Valley professionally within the community and with referral partners and other behavioral health professionals. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and communicate clinical priorities, opportunities, and concerns to organizational leadership. Help establish and maintain a clinical program that reflects the organization's mission, values, and commitment to quality care. Client & Family Experience Promote a client-centered approach that respects each individual's goals, strengths, culture, and lived experience. Respond appropriately to clinical concerns, complaints, and escalated client or family issues. Ensure clinical services are responsive, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-informed practice. Support continuity of care and appropriate transitions between levels of care and community resources. Help create an outpatient experience where clients feel respected, heard, safe, and supported. Required Qualifications Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, addiction counseling, or a related behavioral health discipline. Current, unrestricted Montana clinical license (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) Clinical leadership, supervisory, or management experience in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment. Strong knowledge of behavioral health clinical practices, documentation, ethics, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision and develop clinical staff. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screening. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of clinical leadership or management experience. Experience in outpatient substance use disorder treatment. Experience working with ASAM levels of care and utilization/authorization processes. Experience with quality improvement, chart audits, accreditation, or regulatory compliance. Experience supervising clinicians across multiple disciplines. Experience developing clinical programming or improving outpatient service delivery. Experience helping lead a clinical team or organization through growth, change, or transition.
