In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations and fostering a welcoming environment. Your expertise in dental administrative support, insurance verification, and dental terminology will drive efficiency and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software. Verify insurance coverage, including dental insurance plans like Delta Dental. Review and update patient medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Assist patients with intake procedures, explaining treatment plans and answering questions about dental terminology and procedures. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive patient information. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation review and care plan updates. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries promptly. Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records. Experience Proven clinic experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and billing practices. Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence in a fast-paced setting. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dental practice management software such as Open Dental. Office experience that includes scheduling, filing, and handling multi-line phone systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards to ensure compliance at all times. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
