Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Medical Office Administrator to lead the efficient operation of our healthcare practice. In this vital role, you will oversee daily administrative functions, manage patient and staff interactions, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise in medical office management, billing, and team supervision will drive the smooth delivery of quality patient care. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of medical office operations, including scheduling, patient intake, and record keeping using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix. Supervise healthcare staff, including administrative support personnel, nurses, and other clinical team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Oversee billing processes, coding accuracy, and medical billing procedures to ensure timely reimbursement and financial health of the practice. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as
HIPAA, JCAHO
standards, and health regulation policies through diligent monitoring and staff training. Coordinate practice management activities including budgeting, fiscal management, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency. Utilize patient management software to enhance patient scheduling, records management, and communication workflows. Extensive experience in medical office administration with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks. Strong supervisory skills with proven ability to manage teams within a healthcare or dental practice setting. Deep understanding of healthcare management principles including practice management, healthcare staff management, and compliance standards such as HIPAA. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding practices, and financial management including budgeting and fiscal oversight. Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate between clinical staff, patients, vendors, and external agencies effectively. Familiarity with healthcare regulation policies related to hospital or clinic operations such as JCAHO accreditation standards or managed care protocols.
