Job Summary The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience within the Dental Clinic. This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and providing administrative support to both patients and dental staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of dental terminology, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Duties Greet patients upon arrival and assist with the check-in process. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time slots. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. Communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and any necessary paperwork. Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate communication between departments. Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely manner. Assist in managing the flow of patients within the office to enhance overall efficiency. Support billing processes by verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays as needed. Skills Proficient in office procedures and administrative support functions. Familiarity with dental terminology is essential for effective communication within a dental healthcare environment. Experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficient in using Dental electronic software This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of patient care while ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled efficiently.
