About Us New Bern Family Eye Care is an independently owned vision clinic located in Craven County, just off HWY 70 in Trent Woods. In addition, we have three other local practices that serve our patients - Creekside Family Eye Care, SpecialEyes Pediatric & Special Needs Vision Clinic and Pamlico Family Eye Care. Our priorities include employing and training an outstanding team and valuing each individual, role and responsibility. It is our goal to make going to work each day challenging, rewarding and fun! We are looking for a Front Desk Patient Coordinator who wants to join a team that provides quality, personalized eye care to generations of families that return year after year. We love technology and fully equip our practice to serve our patients. We work diligently to create an environment that promotes patient-centered care and a well-balanced culture for our employees. As a Front Desk Patient Coordinator , you will play a key role in ensuring smooth front desk operations and an exceptional patient experience. You'll be responsible for: Checking patients in/out & collecting payments Insurance verification & billing (eye care experience preferred) Appointment scheduling & patient triage Communicating with patients in person, via phone and through digital platforms Medical record requests Collaborating with a team of doctors, technicians, optical staff, and front desk employees to ensure seamless patient care Remaining calm and professional under pressure while turning difficult interactions into positive experiences Proactively identifying and resolving scheduling, insurance, or patient flow challenges Demonstrating professionalism, efficiency and strong customer service skills Being reliable, punctual and committed to excellent attendance to support the daily operations of the practice Clinic opening/closing
Who We're Looking For:
Friendly, professional, and assertive communicator Experienced in medical reception (2+ years preferred) Skilled in insurance verification (1+ year preferred) Eye care experience a plus! Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative to improve office operations and patient experiences Tech-savvy with strong organizational skills Team player who works well with doctors and staff across different roles Ability to remain composed, patient, and solution-focused in challenging situations Dependable and punctual, with strong work ethic and commitment to attendanceJob Type:
Full-time Base Pay:
Up to $35,000.00 per yearBenefits:
