The Director Hospital Nutrition Services will lead an integrated Food Services and Nutrition Services operation that powers patient dining, clinical nutrition, retail, and catering for a dynamic acute care setting anchored by a 300+ bed acute care hospital located in southeastern North Carolina, celebrated and known for exceptional quality patient care and innovation, and energized by an Emergency Department that cares for more than 50,000 emergency visits annually. In this Director Food Services capacity, the department champions culinary standards, therapeutic diets, allergen management, HACCP, safety and sanitation, cost control, menu engineering, and service excellence that consistently earns superb patient satisfaction.
The Director Hospital Nutrition Services will report to a Vice President of Operations with strong support from clinical nutrition managers, culinary leaders, and experienced supervisors; this Director Hospital Nutrition Services will provide strategic oversight of patient room-service models, retail venues, catering, inventory and supply chain, budgeting and labor management, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement; cross-functional collaboration is central, as the Director Hospital Nutrition Services partners daily with friendly nurses on bedside service and nutrition protocols, works closely with a diverse healthcare professional team including dietitians, pharmacists, case management, PT/OT, and social work, and leads data-driven initiatives to elevate HCAHPS, throughput, and quality while mentoring a talented, inclusive workforce.
