Job Description

Scope of the Role As Director of Clinical Performance and Risk, you hold senior-level ownership for organization-wide clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement. This role exists to drive outcomes through disciplined measurement, clear governance, and proactive risk mitigation across all service lines and locations. Key responsibilities include leading quality and safety initiatives; coordinating compliance monitoring and regulatory readiness; overseeing incident review processes; ensuring clinical data integrity and quality reporting; and partnering with providers, nursing, behavioral health, dental, outreach, and operations to strengthen workflows and patient-centered care.
Required qualifications/skills:
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience Experience with risk management and compliance methodology Willingness to travel between NHC health centers If you're ready to lead and shape clinical performance with strategic impact, apply today. Total Rewards Northland Health Centers offers a competitive total compensation package, including competitive salary, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Continueing Education, License Renewal, Student Loan Repayment Programs, and more. Daily Operating Rhythm Your day opens with a leadership review of the latest quality, safety, and risk indicators—what moved, what's stalled, and what needs escalation—then quick alignment with site and service-line leads. From there, you shift into working sessions with clinical and operational partners to convert insights into decisions, owners, and deadlines. You'll reserve uninterrupted time to reconcile data sources, validate submissions, and ensure documentation supports what's being reported.
Readiness work is continuous:
keeping audit materials current, closing gaps early, and stress-testing processes before reviews occur. Expect regular coordination with other NHC locations, balancing onsite presence with timely guidance when new issues surface. You wrap by capturing progress, updating trackers, and setting the next day's priorities for the Director of Clinical Performance and Risk agenda.
