P01715 Qualifications Required Associate's Degree. Two years office experience preferred. General Summary Provides clinical support and oversees the clinical scheduling of the Dental Hygiene program. Responsible for maintaining quality assurance for clinic practices and patient records in compliance with the State Board of Dentistry and other agency rules and regulations. Facilitates the daily operations of the Dental Clinic to include patient scheduling, ordering of supplies, and handling of hazardous materials. Acts as the Electronic Patient Records Technical Specialist and manages and maintains patient records software. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college polices and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Performs clerical duties for the Dental Hygiene clinic such as sorting and addressing of patient recall cards, scheduling appointments, receiving and registering patients, keeping patient files and accounts and maintenance of computerized recall, making deposits, filing Medicaid claims, and maintain MSDS book. Finalizes DMF reports from school screening. Creates reports for student experiences as well as other documents needed for Commission on Dental Accreditation. Essential Functions Orders supplies and equipment for clinic, lab, radiology, and maintains inventory. Submits orders through the ESM purchasing software. Essential Functions Sterilizes instruments, and monitors autoclaves for infection control for the Dental Hygiene clinic. Researches and keeps up to date on most current sterilization and infection control. Essential Functions Acts as the Co-infection Officer as required by OSHA. Provides assistance to student clinical assistants. Provides training on dental management software and sterilization procedures. Essential Functions Administrative Assistant duties (50% of time). Implements and provides training for PT receptionist in dental management software and sterilization procedures. Essential Functions Performs word-processing for the Dental Hygiene instructional program, including requisitions, part-time faculty schedules, program orientation information, and creation of clinical evaluation forms. Creates and imports scheduling of the rotational student clinic assistance assigned in the clinic. Essential Functions Maintains computerized budget summaries of expenses and income for operating budget accounts and the clinic auxiliary accounts. Obtains quotes from vendors on purchasing the students' instrument kit and presents to Program Director for review. Orders kits through the purchasing department.
