Job Description
Medical office experience necessary. Please only serious candidates apply. We are looking for front desk personnel for our expanding ophthalmology practice. Individuals must have very strong customer service skills, be proficient with various computer programs, have excellent keyboarding skills, and have flexibility with hours (possible evening) and office locations. Individuals must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be a quick learner, able to multitask, possess good oral and written communication skills; must be detailed-oriented, have accurate data-entry skills, and be familiar with Microsoft office, good phone manner; team player, must be flexible to the changing medical environment and varying work schedules including Saturdays. Must have transportation and able to work in various offices. Must be friendly, with good social skills. This position entails checking in patients, making appointments, checking insurances and eligibility, collecting copayments and past due balances. Front desk personnel also provide backup phone assistance at busy times as well as other various duties as required on a day to day basis.
