Job Description
Performs a wide variety of duties to support the Medical Staff, Department Leadership, and hospital administration. 1. Schedules/coordinates Medical Staff departments, sections and committee meetings, conferences, special events, and appointments. Maintains assigned calendar(s). 2. Assists with the processing of the medical staff applications and re-appointments, and maintains the Medical Staff Credentialing files. 3. Composes, types and transcribes Medical Staff correspondence, minutes, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required. Ensures that badges are distributed appropriately. 4. Receives and screens Medical Staff visitors and telephone calls, and handles general inquiries. Routes inquiries to the appropriate individual when necessary.
