•Institute for Prevention and Recovery At the Institute for Prevention and Recovery (IFPR), the SBIRT Coordinator becomes part of a purpose-driven team working to create clinical-based environmental change. As an SBIRT Coordinator, you will identify opportunities to create and present developmentally and culturally appropriate educational programs and presentations directly to health professionals and clinical groups in a variety of settings, provide information, and carry out special projects as assigned. A typical day for an SBIRT Coordinator may include: Identifying and developing protocols for ED, inpatient, and outpatient screening, intervention, treatment, training, communication, information dissemination, and collaboration Preparing and presenting asset-based educational and skill-building programs and presentations throughout clinical settings Representing the organization at public forums, special events, and health fairs, as well as in meetings and on clinical and community task forces and committees Conducting outreach and maintaining statistics on events and presentations for internal tracking, outcome evaluations, and grant reporting requirements Participating in and actively contributing ideas and suggestions at regular staff meetings, collaborating with colleagues, and generating new program services and markets Attending trainings and workshops relevant to substance use prevention and intervention Performing other duties as assigned This role might be for you if: You're a natural catalyst for clinical-based environmental change and enjoy identifying opportunities to create culturally appropriate educational programming Excellent verbal communication skills define how you interact one-on-one, in public speaking, and in informative presentations You're responsible, dependable, self-disciplined, and take initiative on program tasks You have the ability to facilitate educational groups and trainings Excellent written communication skills allow you to contribute to newsletters, curriculum development, and grant applications You demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development and training, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias You have knowledge of clinical settings and other agencies and systems You work well independently, as part of a team, and in diverse clinical and community environments You're well-organized and adaptable, with attention to detail and creativity Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills come naturally to you; bilingual is a plus To be considered for this SBIRT Coordinator opportunity, you are passionate about facilitating, supporting, and serving as a catalyst for clinical-based environmental change, and about educating health professionals and clinical groups on substance-use screening, intervention, and treatment. This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday day shift schedule of 40 hours per week, allowing you to build strong relationships while maintaining a work-life balance. You hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred Professional healthcare and/or substance-use experience is preferred You must obtain certification as an SBIRT trainer through the National SBIRT ATTC's training course and pursue ongoing training and education Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required and bilingual is a plus A commitment to the mission of the Institute for Prevention and Recovery is essential
