The Assistant Vice President is responsible for the administration and oversight of the Ambulatory Surgery Centers to include personnel, planning, organizing, delegating, directing, budgeting and marketing, as well as clinical maintenance and committee structure. The Assistant Vice President has an in-depth knowledge of fiscal and business operations, contract negotiations, market trends, industry standards and business development and is responsible to plan for fiscal and strategic considerations that support the growth of the Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or other undergraduate education; MSN, MBA or equivalent required
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey RN Degree.
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years ambulatory surgery center experience preferred in a management position with responsibilities that include program development. Documented record of proven accomplishments within the areas of planning, fiscal management, and clinical practice management required. This position demonstrates knowledge of Department of Health regulations for Ambulatory Surgery, Association of Operating Room Nurses standards, and AAAHC standards for accreditation. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, blood borne pathogens, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position works in a busy, noisy environment and has frequent interruptions requiring re-evaluation of priorities. This position requires standing for long periods of time, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and walking short distances quickly.
