GED Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible to attend to patients on the phone and in person, coordinate and organize appointments and documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the healthcare environment and support delivery of quality patient care.
Essential Functions:
Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience Maintains strong customer service at all times Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary Field all phone calls Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients Register new patients and update necessary records Distribute forms and paperwork to patients to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately Complete insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals Billing (collecting payments, entering charges, etc.) Communication and teamwork with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience Manage inventory of necessary office supplies and coordinate reordering Assist with keeping office tidy and clean Perform other duties as assigned This will be an 8-hour morning shift.
