ONBOARDING & ASSESSMENT LEAD

Success On The Spectrum Hamilton | Hamilton, NJ Full-Time | Monday-Friday | $92,000

  • 108,000/year
ABOUT THIS ROLE

Success On The Spectrum Hamilton is growing, but we don't believe growth should mean simply adding more children to an already busy clinical system. Many ABA centers operate with a traditional waitlist: families wait for an opening, assessments and onboarding accumulate, and once space becomes available, everyone works quickly to prepare for admission. That can create unnecessary pressure for families, BCBAs, RBTs, and the clinical team. We're building something different: an Active Waitlist. We're seeking a full-time BCBA who will specialize in assessments, clinical onboarding, and preparing incoming children for a thoughtful transition into treatment, while maintaining a deliberately small clinical caseload. The smaller caseload is intentional. We want you to have the time and support to do both sides of the job well. Instead of simply waiting for a space to open, we want the time before admission to be productive. You'll get to know incoming families, conduct assessments, develop initial programming and Learning Trees, identify transition and safety considerations, and prepare our BCBA interns and RBT trainers for the child who will soon enter their care. The goal is a more intentional handoff: the family feels supported, the treatment team is prepared, and the child enters a clinical environment that already knows them. TWO BCBAs.

TWO AREAS OF FOCUS. ONE CLINICAL TEAM.

You'll work alongside our experienced Clinical Director from the Netherlands, whose background includes ABA, behavior intervention, extinction, fading, clinical programming, and staff training. Our structure is intentional. Our Clinical Director maintains a deep focus on treatment quality and the children currently receiving services. You help build the bridge for the children coming next. You will also maintain a small caseload of children of your own, allowing you to remain directly involved in treatment, supervision, programming, and family collaboration. You'll have support from BCBA interns and RBT trainers, allowing you to delegate appropriately, teach future clinicians, and focus your time where BCBA-level clinical judgment is most valuable.

A CLINICAL TEAM BUILT TO LEARN FROM EACH OTHER

This isn't a position where you'll be handed a large caseload and left to work in isolation. You and our Clinical Director will collaborate closely

  • reviewing cases, discussing programming, sharing knowledge, challenging ideas, and continuously improving our clinical systems. Our BCBA interns will learn alongside both of you. They'll gain exposure to ongoing treatment quality and behavior intervention with our Clinical Director while also learning the assessment and onboarding process with you
  • from evaluating a new child and developing Learning Trees to preparing the RBT team for treatment.

Two complementary BCBA roles. Constant collaboration. Shared clinical thinking. You help prepare the children coming in. Our Clinical Director maintains deep focus on the children already receiving care. Together, you continuously improve the system connecting the two.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Conduct initial assessments and reassessments Lead the clinical onboarding process for incoming families Help develop and refine our Active Waitlist system Maintain a deliberately small clinical caseload Work directly with children and oversee ongoing ABA treatment Develop and modify individualized treatment plans, programming, Learning Trees, and behavior intervention plans Prepare and present incoming cases to the clinical team Supervise, train, and support RBTs and Behavior Technicians Mentor and collaborate with BCBA interns and practicum students Provide parent and caregiver training Conduct clinical observations and make data-based treatment modifications Collaborate closely with our Clinical Director on programming and clinical decision-making Help prepare treatment teams before a new child's first day

YOU FOCUS ON CLINICAL WORK

Our operations team handles the administrative side so our BCBAs can focus on being BCBAs. You will not be responsible for staff scheduling, HR responsibilities, recruiting, billing, or routine insurance follow-up. You'll have support from our Clinical Director, BCBA interns, RBT trainers, operations team, and the broader Success On The Spectrum clinical network.

WHY SUCCESS ON THE SPECTRUM HAMILTON?

We're building our center around a simple idea: better systems create better conditions for clinicians, families, and children. We want BCBAs who enjoy thinking clinically, teaching others, learning from other professionals, and helping build something better

  • not clinicians stretched so thin that they're simply trying to keep up with a large caseload.

Our center emphasizes collaboration, training, clinical quality, parent involvement, and sustainable growth. Better preparation. Smoother transitions. Stronger clinical teams. Better support for families.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current BCBA certification Appropriate New Jersey licensure required Experience conducting ABA assessments and developing treatment plans Strong understanding of skill acquisition, behavior reduction, functional assessment, and data-based clinical decision-making Strong written and verbal communication skills Interest in training and developing RBTs, BTs, and future BCBAs Collaborative mindset and desire to continue growing clinically Experience working with children with autism preferred Must successfully complete required background checks

COME BUILD IT WITH US

We're not looking for someone to simply absorb another large BCBA caseload. We're looking for a clinician who wants to conduct great assessments, prepare families before treatment begins, maintain a small caseload of children they know well, develop future clinicians, and work alongside an experienced Clinical Director as part of a true clinical team. If that sounds like the kind of ABA environment you've been looking for, we'd love to meet you.
