Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized, warm and welcoming, and reliable Patient Coordinator to be the face and voice of our modern dental practice. In this role, you will manage the daily patient schedule using Open Dental, handle front-desk administrative tasks, and ensure every patient enjoys a warm, seamless experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly, manage the check-in/check-out process, and handle incoming phone calls. Optimize the daily clinical schedule in Open Dental to ensure efficient patient flow. Verify dental insurance benefits and follow up on outstanding pre-authorizations. Present treatment plans to patients, clearly explaining out-of-pocket costs, co-pays, and financing options. Collect and process payments, manage daily billing balancing, and handle patient billing inquiries. Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital patient records and handle general office administrative duties. Team members who wish to expand their role may have the opportunity to assist with sterilization and clinical support duties. We welcome candidates who enjoy learning different aspects of a dental practice.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience working in a dental front office. Proficiency with Open Dental software is required. Some knowledge of dental terminology, ADA codes, and insurance billing processes. Exceptional customer service, communication, and multitasking skills. Medical receptionist or medical office experience may be considered.
