Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our mental health and behavioral care programs. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and guiding a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, therapists, and support staff. The Clinical Director will champion best practices in behavioral health, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA and EMR/EHR management. Duties Lead and supervise clinical staff, including therapists, case managers, and support personnel, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards. Oversee patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing case management for individuals. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programs utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention techniques. Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff; facilitate ongoing training in areas such as social work, mental health counseling, addiction counseling, and working with co-occurring disorders. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI). Engage in clinical research activities when applicable; collect data for quality improvement initiatives; participate in case reviews and diagnostic evaluations to optimize client outcomes. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols; intervene promptly during emergencies involving mental health or behavioral crises. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; licensure as required by state law. CCS or LCADC Required. Extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults or families dealing with mental health conditions or disabilities. Proven supervisory experience leading clinical teams within behavioral health or mental health settings. Strong knowledge of mental health conditions such as PTSD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Skilled in therapeutic modalities including CBT, behavioral therapy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and psychotherapeutic techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation; understanding of
ICD-10/ICD
coding for diagnoses; experience managing medical records securely under HIPAA guidelines. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments; conduct group therapy sessions; family counseling; manage crisis interventions effectively. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and team leadership; experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds is highly valued. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health; experience working in hospital or community-based settings is preferred.
