    , you will work closely with cataract surgical patients to ensure a smooth, informative, and seamless surgical experience. Responsibilities & Duties In this role as a Surgery Coordinator
CATARACT & PREMIUM LENS COORDINATOR
, your primary responsibilities will include: Educate patients regarding cataract surgery and the lens options approved by the surgeon. Discuss standard and premium intraocular lens options, including toric and presbyopia-correcting technology when appropriate. Conduct lifestyle discussions regarding reading, computer use, driving, night vision, hobbies, and the patient's desire to reduce dependence on glasses. Explain premium lens fees and patient financial responsibility. Review surgical paperwork and consents. Coordinate surgical scheduling. Obtain and track medical/H&P clearance for the surgery center. Ensure all required testing, documentation, measurements, and surgical paperwork are completed before surgery. Communicate with the physician, surgery center, patient, and clinical team regarding outstanding requirements. Follow up with patients who are undecided regarding their surgical lens selection. Maintain accurate documentation of lens discussions and patient decisions. Provide excellent patient service without creating a high-pressure sales environment.
