Compensation:

$65-$75/hour, depending on experience and employment structure. The Opportunity The Director of Case Management will lead the hospital's Case Management Department, with responsibility for case management, utilization review, care coordination, discharge planning, regulatory compliance, resource utilization, and transitions of care. You'll work closely with nursing, physicians, therapy, social services, finance, and executive leadership to improve patient outcomes while supporting appropriate utilization of hospital resources. Key Responsibilities Lead and provide direct supervision for the Case Management Department Oversee utilization review, care coordination, discharge planning, and transitions of care Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, HIPAA, accreditation, and regulatory requirements Oversee insurance authorizations, submissions, reviews, and updates Monitor patient-care and utilization data and identify opportunities for improvement Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy, social services, and hospital leadership Support appropriate length of stay, patient throughput, and effective discharge planning Develop and improve clinical care pathways that balance quality, outcomes, and cost effectiveness Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate Case Management team members Manage departmental staffing, budgets, and operational planning Build effective relationships with community resources and agencies Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current RN license; BSN preferred 3-5+ years of Case Management Hospital Case Management leadership experience Strong understanding of utilization review, Medicare/Medicaid, insurance authorization, discharge planning, and regulatory requirements Experience with MCG/Milliman and/or InterQual preferred Case Management certification preferred Why This Opportunity?
